Terms & Conditions

By booking services with The Majlis, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to ensure we have a shared understanding of our commitment to your special day.

 

Booking & Deposit

  • non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your event date and our services.
  • Booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit and a signed service agreement/quotation.
  • Dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot hold dates without a deposit.
 

Payment Schedule

  • First Payment (Deposit): 50% upon booking confirmation.
  • Final Payment (Balance): The remaining 50% must be paid in full at least 14 days prior to the event date.
  • Failure to make the final payment on time may result in the cancellation of services without a refund of the deposit.
  • Payments can be made via Online Transfer to The Majlis business account details provided in the invoice.
 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Client:

  • The 50% deposit is strictly non-refundable as it covers initial consultation, administrative costs, and date reservation.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event will require full payment of the agreed package price.

Postponement:

  • Clients may request to postpone their event date (subject to our availability) at least 60 days in advance without penalty.
  • Postponements made less than 60 days prior may incur a rescheduling fee.
 

Client Responsibilities

  • The client must provide accurate information regarding the venue, schedule, and vendor contacts.
  • The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or approvals from the venue management for our team to operate (e.g., loading bay access, parking).
  • Meals should be provided for The Majlis crew on the event day (for events exceeding 4 hours).
 

Liability & Limitations

  • The Majlis acts as a coordinator and is not liable for the failure of other third-party vendors (catering, photography, etc.) hired directly by the client.
  • We will not be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as acts of God, natural disasters, or pandemics (Force Majeure).
  • In the unlikely event that a specific crew member is unavailable due to illness or emergency, we reserve the right to replace them with another qualified team member.
 

Travel & Accommodation

For events outside of the Klang Valley (KL/Selangor), additional charges for transportation and accommodation (if an overnight stay is required) will be billed to the client. These costs will be discussed and agreed upon prior to booking confirmation.

By proceeding with the booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
