It Started as a Promise
The Majlis wasn’t built in a corporate boardroom. It began in late 2023 as a humble passion project by our founder, Samsul Amirul or friendlier known as Sam. Initially, it was a one-man show, a side hustle driven purely by a sincere desire to help close friends and family navigate the beautiful chaos of their big days.
Sam wasn’t chasing massive sales figures or industry fame. His goal was simple and grounded: to build a portfolio of genuine moments and earn trust, one wedding at a time. He believed that every couple deserved a “Wedding Bestie”, someone who cared as deeply as a friend but executed with the discipline of a professional planner.
2024 & Beyond
Scaling Up & Giving Back
As word of our dedication spread, 2024 became a major turning point. The demand for The Majlis’s signature “Bestie” service grew beyond what one person could handle. But Sam saw this not just as a business opportunity, but as a chance to create a positive ripple effect in his community.
He began expanding the team, recruiting passionate local youths who shares the same passion. By providing training, mentorship, and opportunities, The Majlis evolved into a platform for young talents to gain experience, develop soft skills, and earn a livelihood.
Today, we are serious about scaling up. We have transitioned from a side hustle into a full-scale wedding management service, committed to delivering excellence for our clients while supporting the next generation of event professionals.
